Atheists , do you believe in extra terrestrials?
Are they already here ? Already dwelling in our planet ? As gov'T officials , scientists , astronomers , etc ,without our knowledge ?
I have my own opinions but how about you ?
To the point that we do not believe such dieties , then do you believe ExtraTerrestrials exist ? ? ?
I'm just asking for your opinion .
Thanks in advance .

I guess it's possible. One theory I heard is that the earth had certain elements but when an asteroid hit it with water on it, the earth as we know started to develop, or there is another that says that Mars originally had life but then the more intelligent of those 'aliens' (the space nerds ;-) ) figured out how to transfer to this planet and they interbred with the humanoid primate species so that now, basically modern humans are part alien-which would explain why most humans have a much more advanced brain than the other animals.
I do think that is more likely than some 'perfect' deity 'just existing', then deciding to create all of life NOT to reflect this...'perfect'-then why create, a single male creating life? tell me where on earth this is the case...
As far as the other deities go, why haven't any of them shown up to show us the 'correct' way to understand these things?
edit: what do I believe? Nothing in particular about E. T.'s I remember hearing that traces of 'life' (like a bacteria) had been found (on Mars I think) so I know there are at least elements of it...if there was a God, why the hell all this space and only a very small part of it able to support life forms as complex as what is found on this planet?

Given that there is roughly 9 million different creatures on this planet and some 300 billion stars in our galaxy alone, the chances of our planet being the only one with life is astronomically small.
Also, seeing as how there are billions of galaxies in our universe - some which are bigger and some which are smaller than our own - that chance drops to an impossibility.
Plus, the lif on our planet is not likely to be replicated everywhere, so the likelihood is that there are more different forms of life that the (approx) 9 million on Earth. Therefore, with all of this, the chances of us being alone is actually an impossibility.
Whether or not they have met us yet... I can't say. Maybe - maybe not. Some higher more advance creature may have, but discovered we were too primitive and didn't make contact is a possibility.

I believe that alien life could exist away from Earth. We understand the biology, the chemistry, and the physics and can see that the universe has many planets that could have similar conditions. So the idea that life is out there is not too hard to believe. What kind of life I do not have enough to speculate on but I would not be surprised if that life exists. As for intelligent alien life visiting Earth, there is no real evidence of that. Sure, you can find people who claim that it is happening but they do not give any real evidence. They have plenty of stories but nothing substantial.

Of course life exists on other planets/moons in the universe. There are literally trillions upon trillions of planets and moons out there. Life obviously *can* exist (it does here). So why not somewhere else as well? No, of course no aliens have visited the Earth. And no, of course there are none here now.....

I think the odds of a extraterrestrial life existing are decent. I do not believe in extraterrestrials, because there has been no compelling evidence provided to this effect.

Not in the sense you speak of.
But...is it possible that there is life somewhere beyond earth? Yes. Possible and probable.
Of course, that extra-terrestrial life might just be a pool of algae.

Mathematically speaking, according to Hawking, it would be almost impossible for some kind of life NOT to exist in the universe.

Do I believe there are extra terrestrials living among us, no. Do I believe there are certainly extra terrestrials out there in the universe, no. Do I believe that it is certainly possible and very likely that there are extra terrestrials out there somewhere? Yes.

I do not believe in ETs - all I know is It's a statistical probability that something else exists.
