Would a straight friend let you kiss their cheek?

My friend acts really metro and is supposedly straight. I'm bi and in the closet, but he knows that. Whenever we meet up, we always hug for a longgggg time and he presses his cheek against mine, and when we pull away I always kiss him on the cheek.

I've even kissed him on his neck a few times. A few times I reached out and touched his hand and just traced my fingers over it and did that for a long time and he never said anything. BUT, one time he just lightly pulled his hand away, so I stopped doing that. BUT, if I do just reach out and quickly and lightly touch it he doesn't pull away or say anything ... but the prolonged contact seems to maybe not be something he will allow.

The hugs are incredible, and kissing his cheek and neck is wonderful. Before we part ways I can nuzzle my face into his neck and kiss it and tell him I love him. He never says anything at all like that back, and he never kisses me back or initiates any touching except the long hugs and the cheek to cheek thing.

What do you think? Tolerant straight guy or not-ready-to-come-out-of-the-closet bi guy, or am I just reading too much into this?

maybe the first answer is accurate but in my opinion he seems to be a bit afraid of comming out no matter whether he is gay or bi he might want someone who helps him dealing with his feelings or the way he feels now and maybe is trying to demonstrate affection so you can be open to him and so he can come out
