Meats and fish are actually huge in Italy. Lots of pasta and cheese is actually the "Americanized" version of Italian food. Yes, a lot of dishes do have pasta and cheese, but, just like everywhere in the world, there is a much bigger variety of foods than you would find at Olive Garden or Bertucci's. Don't worry, you'll find plenty to eat. And gelato is a MUST!

Ehi, I'm Italian...And in Italy we don't eat pasta and pizza all the time! I don't like cheese too and i don't eat it. It's simple.
