  • Easiest way to clean an oven that has cheese burned on?

At least I'm pretty sure it's cheese. It's too burnt to scrape off, and I have no idea how long it's been there. I have never seen an oven this gross. (With my own oven, the occasional wipe down is enough to keep it clean, so I'm a little out of my element with this one.) Thanks!

  • Does anyone know this song?

I remember listening to it, either very late 90's or very early 2000's. I know it had something to do with Glycerine, but I can't remember if it was part of the title or part of the band name. NOTE: I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE BUSH SONG CALLED GLYCERINE! It was rock or alternative. It's driving me crazy, and all Google can come up with is the Bush song!

  • Car battery was jumped today. Did it recharge enough to start tomorrow?

I left my headlights on today for a few hours and the battery died. Dumb, I know, but sh*t happens. My friend gave me a jump. The car started almost right away, and I drove home. The ride was almost 40 miles and took about 45 minutes. The battery is only 2 years old or so. When I got home, I turned the car off and restarted it a few minutes later. It started without a problem. I'm pretty sure it will be OK to start tomorrow morning, but a little reassurance would help me sleep tonight! Thanks!

  • I put too much salt on the chicken?

I'm using my slow cooker to make chicken with honey sauce. The recipe said to put honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, and vegetable oil in the cooker, then season chicken breasts with salt & pepper and put into the cooker. The salt came out faster than I thought it would, so there was a lot of salt on the chicken. I brushed a bit off, but I'm afraid it's still too much. I can't afford to go buy new chicken. What can I add to lessen the salt? I don't want to water down the sauce. What can I do?

  • Skin sore keeps getting re-infected!?

I have a small sore on my lower abdomen, just above the pubic area. It originally looked like a pimple. Over the last few months, I have disinfected it with alcohol, peroxide, and Neosporin. (Not all at the same time!) I have kept it bandaged. I have let it "breathe." I have drained it. I went to the doctor and got an antibiotic. Nothing is helping! It keeps almost healing, then suddenly gets infected again!

Seriously, what else can I do??? BTW, I know it's not an STD. Someone please help!

  • What do we call the men who don't follow through?

When a female engages in sexual acts, but hits the brakes right before the actual sex, they call her a c**k-tease. What do we call it's the GUY who does that? Is there a term for that? Besides "moron?"

  • Filled tooth is still occasionally aching slightly. Normal?

My dentist filled my tooth a little over a week ago. Most of the time, it is fine, but sometimes it aches a little, particularly after I eat or drink. It's not a sharp or horrible pain, just a bit of an ache. Kind of annoying. I just want to know if that is to be expected and will go away, or could something be wrong?

  • A good odor neutralizer?

The apartment above mine had some sort of leak. So I had water dripping through my ceiling and down my cabinets. The leak is fixed, everything is cleaned, and maintenance will repair any water damage once everything dries out. BUT THE SMELL! The icky, wet-wood/plaster, mildewy, and dirty water smell! How do I get rid of it? I've been burning candles, using air freshener, and leaving windows open. (It's cold!) but they just mask the odor temporarily. What is the best air freshener that will actually help get rid of the smell for good? Febreze? Please help!

  • Cooking for one, healthy and minimal ingredients?

I live alone and I'm looking for healthy recipes. I'm not a whiz in the kitchen, but I do have basic cooking skills. So many of the recipes I find have SO many ingredients that I would buy, use two or three times, and have to throw away when they go bad. I hate to waste food and money. What are some websites/cookbooks that are geared towards people in my position?

I'm really interested in healthy, with only a few basic ingredients. I'm particularly interested in finding a beef & broccoli stir fry that doesn't have 12 different ingredients for sauce/seasoning.

I would be grateful for any tips/ideas!

  • Keeping food warm in the oven?

If food is already cooked, and I just want to keep it warm in the oven, what temperature could I set it on without cooking it more? (No, the oven does not have a "warming" setting.) I don't know if it matters, but it's 3 stuffed breads that I want to keep warm.

  • driving down an icy, curved hill?

I recently moved, and I live on the top of a very steep hill with sharp, S-shaped curves. I have been driving in ice and snow for years, but never on a hill like this. (And, no, there is no way to avoid it.) What are the best techniques to get down in one piece? I have a small, automatic Plymouth Neon. It has front wheel drive, and fairly new tires. Help, please!

  • My rental co. owns LOTS of properties. Do i pt a note in with the check with my complex name so they know?

I have to mail my rent check monthly. If I just stick a check in the envelope, how will they know who I am and where I live? (My checks still have my parents address on them.) Should I stick a note in the envelope with my complex name, address, and apt.# to be sure they know or is that stupid?
