Why isn't gullible in the dictionary?

    Gullible is a word, but I'm not gullible enough to look

    Hmm - what dictionary did you consult?

    Actually it's a good word and IS in dictionaries.

    It means easily persuaded to believe something

    It is in the dictionary. It was put there somewhere between 1815 and 1825. Abridged dictionaries omit words.

    Which dictionary are you consulting ? Its there. It means one who is easily deceived or duped.

    OK, to all of you who actually looked that up, did you know that if you say "gullible" slowly it sounds like "orange"?
