Is the iPad expensive to maintain?

Is the device hard to maintain in terms of apps, programs etc? I was informed that numerous payments will have to be made in order to maintain apps, emails programs and the device in general.I was also told that android tablets come with multiple free and easy to use programs, which substantiates why its the prefered tablet for accessibility, cost effectiveness and simplicity. Please confirm these statements if possible and add to my knowledge about these devices.

Everything Apple makes is grossly over priced including upkeep not to mention the most proprietary junk on the market. If you're looking for competitive prices, compatibility, and function in software and hardware, don't buy Apple products. If you're simply technologically impaired and just want to impress a bunch of other technologically impaired people, buy Apple products.

You buy an ipad, and that is it. In the app store there are free apps, and paid apps. Paid apps, if voluntarily bought, have free updates. Free apps are just all around free. The popular social media, email, and the device software in general is all free, and actually quite easy to maintain, and clutter free. Most android and windows software, will quickly clutter and fill up, if you do not know how use and maintain it. Apple is, not really, but kind of for the average Joe who doesn't know how to clean and maintain, their device.

No, you don't have to keep paying. For lots of people, the initial purchase is the only money they spend. If you buy a paid app, the updates are free. Free apps have free updates.

no, it's not expensive to maintain. i'm not sure where you heard the information from but if the apps are free they are free (sometimes there are in app purchases but mostly they are voluntary), if you have paid for an app any updates that app has are also free.
