science cannot answer because results are not in the hands of the scientists, but in the hands of the people.
as far as a response, mine would be--
with great power comes great responsibility. hopefully the people will realize the terrors that irresponsibility will wrought and veer far and wide from such dilemmas. especially when 'such dilemmas' could lead to the extinction of the human race.
