Email app for Android?

I'm looking for an email app that will allow me to save my recipients as contacts.

For example, if John emails me (or I email John) I want the app to save him as a contact, so that i can select his name from a contact list when writing new emails.

Gmail doesn't seem to do this, nor does Yahoo, Mail.com or K-9. Any suggestions?

This is for an Android tablet.

"How to Create a Contact from an E-mail on Your Android Tablet

By Dan Gookin from Android Tablets For Dummies

Perhaps one of the easiest ways to build up the Contacts list on your Android tablet is to create a contact from an e-mail message. Follow these general steps when you receive a message from someone not already in your Android tablet address list:

Touch either the contact’s name in the From field or the picture by the contact’s name at the top of the message.

The contact’s name or picture is really a menu, as shown by the little lower-right corner triangle. That’s your clue that a menu exists.

Choose whether to create a contact or add the e-mail address to an existing contact.

For an existing contact: Scroll through the list to choose the contact. The e-mail address is added to that contact.

For a new contact: Fill in the rest of the contact’s information on the New Contact screen. Building the contact works just like creating a contact from scratch, though the e-mail address and potentially the person’s name is already available.

Touch the OK, Done, or Save button to create the contact.

If you accidentally create a contact when you already have that contact, you can join the two."
