Freezing / not responding message is usually the result of the demand being more than the computer cn handle sometimes for a few minutes only. Try to make sure you do not have too much going on at the same time - close all programs you don't need. Do a clean up - accessories - system tolls - disc clean up - then do a defragment - system tools - defragment.
If that doesn't solve it , look for malware - get malwarebytes (Google for it, it's free, and run that to see if you have any nasties.
Another possibility a is a slightly corrupted registry - try something like CCleaner, also free from 'piriform'.
Without a lot more info, this is all I can suggest.

If your screen is frozen try placing it in the oven, or next to a fireplace. Should be heated up in no time.

Just check the Hard disks wheater they are working properly or the cables are connected well .
Format your pc.
