Why can't I comment on answers?
So for some reason when I try to comment on somebodies answer to a question, it says:
"you are not allowed to post this comment"
It worked yesterday and now it doesn't - anybody know why this might be?

I am assuming you really mean comment and not answer. A comment can only be added AFTER a question is closed. At that time you can comment on the question or any answer. You can even post another answer but you get no points.

You may be blocked by that user..asker or answerer.
That is the same message you get if you try to star a question where the asker has blocked you.
You can find out if you are blocked by the asker by going to the question on the old format. http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/ and cannot open it but get the You Cannot View message.
The way to know if the answerer has blocked you is if you can find a question they asked and cannot open it on the old format or no answer box on the new one..
If it is still an open question and you are blocked by the asker then on the new format it will not show an answer box.
