FOID card question please help?

If I were to get a FOID card approved in Washington state, and then proceed to buy a pistol in Illinois where my home is; would the seller accept my FOID card and allow me to make that transaction?

There is no FOID in Washington State. And if you did, NO, Illinois does not accept out of state FOID equivalents.

We don't need an FOID here in Washington state. We just need a LOCAL Washington state issued picture ID, with current address being on the ID or having been updated either in person or online with the DMV (in the case of a drivers licenses), for in-store firearm purchases, and of course have to pass the background check.

Huh? I feel you probably left out some information here. If your home is in IL, why do you care about WA? Washington State does not have FOIDs, that's an IL state only thing. Just get an IL FOID and go to a local IL gun store and buy your handgun.
