My laptop fan is working continuously with noise.?

My laptop became slow recently. The fan is working continuously and most of the time at the top level (similar to idling engine) I feel the laptop is going to burn due to the high temperature. I'm checking the task manager now and the CPU performance goes between 5 to 20% while memory is 1.06 GB this if not doing anything. When I click to open a new webpage, the CPU performance may go up to 96% in an instant.

I did the following:

- defragmentation.

- check for system errors and fix them automatically.

- cleaned browsing history

- emptied the recycle bin

- ran the avg antivirus and internet security

What else can I do to make it run properly without this problem?

For example can I end some processes in the task manager without affecting the laptop performance

Thank you,

Abdul

windows schedules certain things to happen at user logon.

    they happen once per day.

restart the pc see if its better.

do this every day(ie start it twice, the first time wait a ew minutes)

the second start may work a lot better for the rest of the day.

if you have windows vista/7 you may have an issue with the WEI(windows Experience Index)

there appears to be no cure except the one i already mentioned.

bad scripts can also cause the issue.

scripts are active in social media apps.

uninstall completely any social media software from your pc. eg ALL facebook stuff

you can easily re-install it if it does not help

Sounds like you just need to clean it out. Just get a can of compressed air and blow it out. It's amazing how much builds up. My PC was getting to over 100 degrees and was shutting itself down, it now runs at 45 degrees!
