Urgent BMX question! Will reward for the best answer :)?

Hi everyone. I am completely new to the subject and was wondering if anyone can help me. My boyfriend will have his birthday soon and I have decided to get him a BMX bike. He always wanted one and was going on about some flatland tricks which I googled and realised that there are different types of bikes and some are designed more for flatland tricks than others. He is a beginner, 6'3 tall and very slim, probably weights about 70 kg. I am attaching a link to the website I want to buy it from so if you guys have a look and let me know which one is the best for him? Thank you :) x

I want to buy one from ARGOS so here you go, please let me know which one should I go for? Thank you

Those are toy bikes and wont last long. Go to the local bike shop and tell them what you want the bike for and his height. BMX bikes come in different size frames. He will need a top tube length of 22 inches.

Please PLEASE do not buy a bike from any store like Argos. They are designed to look like good bikes but are only intended for general riding- no tricks, no flatland, nothing except general transportation.

If you need proof, go into any Argos location and ask to see an OWNERS MANUAL for the bike you might want, and read the warranty very carefully. Also, it would be a good idea to ask a customer service person directly about return policies on bikes.

I would suggest that you ask your boyfriend if he has a "favorite" bike shop and get him a gift card for the amount you would have spent on the Argos bike.

I understand that bikes can be expensive

Those are toy bikes not designed for any king of serious riding. Your boyfriend is too tall and too heavy to be doing anything other than a ride around the block on any of those bikes. you need to take him to a proper bike shop and be prepared to spend more money than the price of any of thiose bikes

These bikes are all kid's toys. He is 6'3" tall. He needs a bike that fits him. Find a local shop, a real bike shop, and go in there and talk to someone who can help you.

    a. go to a bike shop

toy and dept stores will not have a bike to fit

    b. ask him

    bikes are personal

at least be sure you can refund or exchange

anything decent will be $500 and up

so would be best to be sure about it
