Being successful and smoking weed once a week?
So my definition of success is obtaining a future goal which is becoming an orthodontist. I love dental work and I've been to many job shadows and committees and programs. I'm really serious about my future success. I live in a strict/loose household where my parents are problaby the coolest parents you'll ever meet and they also care a lot about me. I'm 16 I smoke once a week and I'm also very smart. I take 3 AP classes and have a 90 gpa unweighted and it's going up as I'm in my junior year. I work, I ski, I snowboard, I play soccer for two programs and I'm good, I tutor kids in 2 subjects, and I also train 8 and 9 year olds in soccer once a week. Being successful and obtaining a job that let's me spoil my future wife and kids is very important. I am very smart and get those grades and don't apply myself, I do nothing outside of school, I go to school and do the work take the tests and go home. I smoke once a week and I need input to see what people think if I can still reach my goals

Its great that you do well in school and have a future goal, but there is one question. If all is so well in life, what is the point of even smoking pot once a week? If that's al you do it, just don't do it at all.
You need to keep in mind that down the line with your work, there will be drug tests. Being a orthodontist comes with social responsibility too, so keep that in mind.

I have friends who smoke weed all the time but they have 2 kids and are a successful loving amazing family. it's possible to be successful but you have to remember it is illegal and most jobs require drug tests and it could get children taken away from you. you can be successful and smoke weed but you need to weigh the risks and maybe go down to once a month or only special occasions and know how fast it goes out of your system for drug tests.

You need to stop the smoking. It is putting you at risk for addiction and is also placing your future at risk. It fries your brain and when part of your brain isn't workin then you are less likely to be successful. I personally wouldn't want an orthodontist that has smoked anything ever. Plus it can start to ruin your teeth and if you want to be a successful orthodontist then you need to have good looking teeth. My recommendation STOP! Don't put your future at risk just for the next two years of "fun".
