My orthodontist said that i have to wear my retainers for two weeks and then every night. Is that reasonable?

Considering from what i've read, which has everyone wearing them from 6months to a year.

I don't like to go against your orthodontist but nights-only after only 2 weeks is a very short time.

You can always wear it more than recommended. If you do decide to go to nights, keep a close eye on your teeth. The retainer will feel very tight if your teeth start to shift and that's your clue to wear it more.

The longer you wear it, the less likely your teeth will go back to the way they were. My daughter's scooted right back to their original position, grrrr.....
