Been offered cleaning job at probation hostel for women.?

Don't do it, the women in probation hostels are total psychos and they will give you hell as you are trying to clean.

Not a stupid question, it is a legitimate concern.

The women there have just been released from incarceration into the "halfway house" so you don't have to worry about drugs - they are given routine urinalysis tests to make sure they are not drinking or using drugs. They are not even allowed to have perfume that contains alcohol!

Though many of the women may have latent STDs due to their previous lifestyle, as long as you're not having sex with any of them (which would land you in the pokey as well), you should be perfectly safe. Remember, these women are human beings who have been in a very militaristic environment recently and are probably pretty clean.

Bottom line: it is safe, and it's a job. Take it!

Not sure, what you mean by safe...if you mean will the women there attack you then the answer is...probably not as they are on probation and will have to behave themselves. You are just about as safe working there as you would be anywhere else, it's likely that you'll come across a lot of sad depressed, underprivileged women who will ask you for fags all the time, it'll be an experience if nothing else...

Yes its totally SAFE for you to clean as long as you wear a nose and mouth mask, you wear gloves, have your overalls on and wear a pair of knee length boots. Some of these women in Hostels never bath and they are very untidy so you will have to do a lot of cleaning - especially in the toilets. Good Luck.

You'll be safe, there are monitors on site. Jobs are very hard to come by right now; don't loose an opportunity to work.
