i have a 2000 ford focus that kills coil packs any body know why ?
the car quit running so i checked it out . found out it had no spark. saw the origanal coil pack was cracked so i bought a new one at auto zone. put it on and it ran fine for a few days then i lost spark on cyl1 and 4. took that one back and got a new one put it on drove around town a bit and just before i got home car started to run like crap . got it home and then it died and wont start at all now. p0351 code comes up

Check the ohm's on the relay before the coil (also known as a charge/power distribution) to make sure it is within specs.

Does this coil pack run 2 cylinders? In any case, you need to match the original pack. That super pack that the Zone and Advanced sells isn't for regular cars and doesn't sync well with the originals.
I've seen cracked coil packs fixed with plastic weld and last for years. Crazy, but my old boss was CHEAP!
