Why was my answer reported and deleted?

This answer is exactly like mine but regarding a different subject:

If you google "Craigslist car seller scam", "fake truck sale scam Western Union", "fake car shipping company scam" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims of this type of scam.

Here's the link:

My answer had to do with a possible scam involving App Trailers Scam:

"If you google "app trailers scam" your eyes will hurt from all the negative feedback about it. Everything from suspension for no reason when too many points are accumulating to credit card fraud. Check out the links. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is :("

Why was mine removed and points deducted? There are probably thousands of answers like this on Yahoo Answers.

Furthermore, when I try to submit an appeal, I get a "Sorry, Unable to open appeal page." message.

Anyone know why my answer was deleted?

If you answer could be boiled down to "google it", it is considered a non-answer. If you are suggesting that, you need to say something like. "There are many references on the web and several are listed. You can find even more if you do a web search on the topic". Then list at least three references from the google search. Just telling someone how to find an answer is a non answer. You must give a direct answer or a direct link to a website, telling the asker that is what you are doing it. Just saying "look it up yourself" is a violation.

I looked at the cache of the question and the only thing I can think of is that it was reported as a non-answer. But seeing as how it's not clear what the question was, I personally would not have flagged your answer:
