Is it better to eat before working out or after?

I usually start working out, cardio one day and weights next day, around 6pm. Would it be better for me to eat after or before working out?

    What's "better" is what works best for you...if you eat a decent sized meal before, then wait at least an hour to workout...if you eat just a snack, then you may wait 20 mins or so...

    Some people prefer to workout on an empty stomach (if I workout first thing in the morning, that's what I do) and some prefer to have some fuel for their workout...

    Determine what works for you...do you perform significantly better if you do or do not eat prior to your workout??? That's the key...what best helps your performance...
