Do you avoid awarding B/A or offering a T/U to someone that compliments you in their answer?

I'm not sure why... perhaps it's the final step to recognizing narcissistic tendencies, but I can not muster the strength to choose a best answer that has a compliment like "great Q (((Dogma)))" or something to that effect.

You?

I tend to believe that most people are honest and sincere, and accept a compliment as exactly that. Perhaps the question really was great and deserving of attention, because on this board so few actually are. The person who answered might simply have wanted you to know this.

Honestly, that is something I try to avoid. Though, I very rarely get compliments like that.

I'm already too nacissitic for my own good, so I try my best to choose based on what I think the best answer is. If I think the person is sucking up, I'm less likely to choose them.

This is such a good question, Dogma!

Quite the contrary. I enjoy people pandering to me and flattering me, and I encourage that sort of behavior.

Just you wait til I get another internet girlfriend. She'll have more BAs than she knows what to do with...

Regarding thumbs up, I often give a thumb up to every answer I read, regardless of whether I agree with the answerer or not.

No. I assume that, like me, everyone being snide and sarcastic are more likely to be the B/As or get T/Ued. It's all about True Value rather than Apparent Value.

Actually I'm more likely to award BA if flattery is employed.

    Great question, (((Dogma)))!

Are seriously asking me to answer this ?

I only choose BA when I want to communicate with someone ... and I usually give a thumbs up to everyone who answers my questions.
