Trying to connect a Verizon phone with Straight Talk?
I was given a friend's old Verizon phone and want to connect it with Straight Talk.
The phone IS compatible according to Straight Talk's website, and the lady at Walmart
told me that I have to have the Verizon phone unlocked by calling Verizon, so I tried...
The guy at Verizon told me that since the phone is not currently part of a plan, that I can't set it up with Straight Talk. I'm so confused.
I bought an activation kit which included a SIM card, activation code, and airtime.

You just have to purchase a Straight Talk code card for a Verizon phone for $15. Then purchase a $45 airtime card.

Who ever inform you is wrong, straight talk is GSM and Verizon is CDMA you won't be able to use a Verizon phone on straight talk because of that, you can only use it by flashing it with PagePlus, MetroPCS or Cricket that's all your option sorry man Verizon and CDMA sucks.
