How to control emotions on the court?
Tonight the officiating in my game was horrible. I was getting fouled every time i shot the ball and the refs were not having it. However, the refs had no problem calling fouls on me. In the 4th quarter, I was in a tie up for the ball with 3 players riding my back like a jockey and the ref called travel. When I realized they called travel, I yelled and I felt my eyes watering and I was so damn pissed. We ended up losing the game by 4. I had friends and my girlfriend watching me throw a fit on the court, not to mention my coach and teammates. How do I control my emotions when stuff like this happens?

Well first of all I always say you can't blame the refs.. As bad as they may be it's not like your team didn't make turn overs and miss shots.. However I know for some people it's very hard to keep there emotions inside playing basketball but when you get angry you need to stop and think how it's affecting your team if your team mates see you getting angry it could cause the whole team to "shut down" one player on the floor has a very big impact on the other four players it's not fair to your team to throw a little fit over a stupid call... Brush it off and work that much harder to get the ball back... Stop and think!
