Reduce the spark gap on the sparkplug. Maybe down to 0.018-0.025 inches. Then see if you can start and run if for awhile on Propane or Butane to see if you can get that mediocre compression pressure of 90 lbs. up to a decent 110-125. You can use a small Propane torch to temporarily supply this fuel but you need to "be the carburetor" and not flood the little thing. Hopefully a short run time will improve the cylinder/piston sealing and raise that compression. Best of Luck.

Have you removed the spark plug and snapped into the ignition wire lead then grounded the threads of the plug in the motor, turned the ignition on and pulled the recoil to see if you have a strong spark? If you do have spark take the spark plug to a NAPA, Carquest or Advance Auto and ask them to cross reference the plug for an NGK or Denso spark plug.

Dump a little of the gas in the tank on-to a small piece of glass. Look closely for strange little bubbles which is actually water. Keep the two cycle oil and gas mix on a clean fuel can with a little splash of *isopropyl alcohol (dry gas)

Put in a new spark plug and drain and clean out the gas tank.
