Brother has Schizophrenia?
My brother is older than me by 9 years, and at age 23 he had his first episode. He just woke up one morning and started acting weird. Things got so bad that cops were called by neighbors and he was drag to jail for breaking a few car windows. When the cops came he resisted arrest, and I think he even acted a cop. Later we learned of his condition. I did research and got informed, I then tried educating my mom on the matter. Since then things have never been the same for him. He has been un and out of jails and mental hospitals. He hates taking his meds so he don't take them. Then he geta depressed and boom we're back in square one. He also smokes week which he isnt suppose to since he is suppose to be taking medication. He gets jealous of what I have and what he doesn't and proceed to detroy my belongings out of spite. He stole my car once for 24hrs and brought it back driving funny and adding at least 500miles or more on. He is unable to keep a job, so my mom support him. I need help

Tell your mom to get him on disability by contacting social security. Gov
she applies for him on that web site
that's how she will be able to get money to take care of him financially. My older brother got schizophrenic out of the blue too when he was 22. It was tough. He screamed all the time, just angry at everyone, attacked me several times. Its hard, but you Can get through it. Stay close to your mom, and don't provoke him. Make sure you keep everything he shouldn't have hidden Very well, like your car keys. Read some articles with your mom on his condition, see a therapist. Get him to go to a therapist if he agrees to go. Wish you the best.
