Do straight guys usually have pierced nipples?

I was in the gym sauna and this barely 18 year old guy with pierced nipples(the metal bar type) sat down across from me. He was checking me out very sublty: touching his pierced nips, playing with his necklace, pretending to cover his face while he looked at me. I left the sauna and came back a few minutes later, catching him masturbating, when he covered himself with his towel, stayed for another minute and left.

So do straight guys usually have pierced nips or it is more a gay thing?

I'd say that nowadays, piercings of all types are more common with straight guys than gay guys. The trend of piercings among men did start in the 1980s with gay men, indeed, but that was a long time ago.
I know this because I'm actually a gay man with several piercings, and I'm quite unusual. I actually had someone tell me that I couldn't be gay because of my stretched ears!
The point is, you certainly can't know his sexuality merely based on piercings. And clearly, in this gay, the fellow was quite clearly straight -- unless you look like a guy.

More difficult to know with youngers since piercing in all sorts of places is trendy......a surer sign with older guys but still not 100%  (at the breakfast joint I went to this morning a late-20s M/F couple came in - with matching rings in their noses - so who knows?!?!?).

The guy you saw was no doubt gay judging from his other actions.
