Is there a way to do this to this cooking method?
I'm a big fan of cooking up a piece of chicken from frozen in the oven by putting it in a loaf style pan (or a cake pan if I'm cooking for more then just me) and then covering it in water and seasoning the water. This cooked at 400ish for about 45 minutes comes out pretty good. I'm also a fan of barbeque sauce and would like to have it in the mix in the cooking. Is there a way to pour it in the water to get it in the water so it imparts some flavor or should I just deal with it not being in there?

Sure.
Add about 1/2 water and 1/2 BBQ sauce.
Cook your chicken until almost done.
Remove the sauce you have in the pan and put the chicken back in to get a glaze on it.
On the top of the stove reduce the sauce you have and you will have a nice thick flavorful BBQ sauce. Or if you don't want to go to the bother just toss out the liquid the chicken cooked in and use your favorite BBQ sauce.
I also do this with country style pork ribs for a BBQ pork.

You can buy bbq seasoning to add to the water if you want more flavor to the chicken.
Just putting the sauce in the water will add some flavor, but it won't flavor the meat as much as taking the chicken out and putting sauce on it.

I have used frozen with sauce in slow cooker but basically you are boiling the chicken so unless sauce is added after it is cooked it will be diluted in the cooking liquid.
