is there always more toothpaste in the tube?

when does one stop trying to get the last drop out, if it never comes?

    There's probably always some left, clinging to the inside. I've seen hints for "frugal" people where they cut the large flat end off and slit the tube open to get every last bit of paste out. I consider myself thrifty, but I don't take it to that extreme.
