How did nasa find the missing day in the universe.?

nasa needed to know that when they send a satelite up in space it wont be on the path of anything big to crash into when rotating the earth, but they realised there was 24hrs missing, how on earth did they work out what happened to this missing day.

Update:

thats right, the guy was a con and conned many people. nasa will say they have no record of this finding.

You do not understand what time is. It is not a fixed concept. Time moves at different rates according to it's environment. A strong gravitational force will slow time down so at the center of a black hole time will just stand still

Yeah, this is a big myth. It does not take much knowledge of science to know that you do not need to track all of Earth's history to put a satellite in orbit. Most theists know this story is false, though.
