I am so confused....?

So lately I've been thinking a lot about where I want to go to college/university. I'm a Sophmore in High School and I live in Elkhart, Indiana. And my lowest gpa so far has been 3.5 and the highest 4.0 and I want to apply for scholarships but I don't know for which ones or how. Idk if its true but some people say that there are scholarships if you're 25% native american or you have blond hair and blue eyes. Btw I'm hispanic and I want to do something in the medical field. And I would go to a college/university thats far away if I wouldn't have to pay much. And what are the top colleges in Indiana and would it be better for me to go to a college in Indiana because in another state it would be expensive...

There are no scholarships for being "25% native American". There are scholarships which are given by the tribe's themselves, to their own tribal citizens. Now, in many tribes, there are people who are "25% native American" but they are also enrolled citizens of that tribe, who have lived and served in the community, and competed academically for those scholarships. They aren't simply handed out because of ancestry, but based on merit and citizenship.

In any case, just go to your local library. They'll have a HUGE book of all available scholarships. My daughter has racked up over $24,000 in scholarship money already, and not one cent because of her native American birth (We are Navajo) She won many of the scholarships in academic competitions, culinary competitions, and artistic competitions. She's competing again in March in an "iron chef" competition for another $10,000 scholarship.
