BULKY THIGHS FROM EXERCISE?

Hi there,

I'm a 20-year-old female and I am a bit of a health freak. I hit the gym 5-6 days a week which includes an hour of light(ish) weight training and an hour of cardio.

I weigh 108lbs or 7st 10 and follow a strict vegan diet which means I don't get all that much protein. My body fat percentage is between 14 and 15 but my thighs are huge for my size! Is this normal considering I really don't do this to bulk up and I don't consume much protein? Is there anything I can do to slim them down a little? I'm only tiny and it looks really out of proportion :( I do have a fair bit of muscle tone all over but it's only my thighs that look particularly bulky.

Update:

@shutuppauface

I am aware that I have had eating disorders in the past and that I am mildly body dysmorphic. I got help for it and I'm on a journey to sort it all out and the exercise helps me with this as I'm now building muscle instead of losing weight. I've seen a nutritionist and were in agreement that my diet is sufficient at a healthy 2000 calories a day, I am vegan for ethical reasons and follow a balanced diet. There are disadvantages to both an omnivore and vegan diet and none of us can be perfect.

Back to my original question, even my partner agrees they are large for my size so I'm not going to 'alienate' him. He is over the moon with my progress from 2 years ago.

    Unless you are 4'8", there is no way you can weight 108 and have "bulky thighs".

    You are body dysmorphic and still in the grips of anorexic thinking:

    Your other questions indicate an obsession with food and exercise. VEGANISM IS NOT HEALTHY, get into therapy and get over your eating-disordered thinking before you make yourself very sick and alienate your bf because of your obsession.

    EDIT:

    I'm calling bull$hit on your partner agreeing that your legs are "bulky", nobodyliving with somebody with a) your mental disorders, b) who is underweight and "exercises vigorously six days a week", or c) your incredibly crippling food issues and body dysmorphia would ever tell you that.

    Go away.

    The hour of cardio is likely the culprit. Depending on the type of cardio exercise you do, how you do it will build/tone muscles differently. For example, if you do spin, sitting forward on the seat (the way you naturally want to sit on a bicycle seat) and holding your body high will lead to big butt and thighs. Moving the seat back, pushing your butt to the back of the seat, and riding low will prevent that.

    Burning fat is a really challenging challenge for a lot of individuals all over the planet and is what the Metabolic Cooking nutrition technique attempts to repair.

    It's muscle definitely. Just stop with all the leg exercise's and maybe do more shoulder or arm stuff. I'm not a gym person myself so I don't know the terms.
