What is up with Sony Vegas 12 Frame rates?

I created a GIF file that has 10 frames and it loops. I drag it into Sony Vegas Pro 12 and it will load and work for around 11-30 milliseconds and then stop and try to load the frames while the video is still going so it tries to skip frames to catch up with were its suppose to be. I tried putting it on its lowest quality and it doesn't change a thing. I'll restart the video over and over again around 5-10 times and it will eventually work perfectly, but how do I have it on sync with my GIF file so I don't have to restart my GIF over and over again until it finally works?

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do. But I use Sony Movie Studio Platinum and all I have to do is import the animated gif into it and stretch it out on the timeline and then the gif works perfectly. It sounds like a glitch or something.

0_0! Wait a minute! I know what's going on. LOL! I see what you mean. Yes, Movie Studio will not play back gif's on the timeline properly. You need to stretch it out on the timeline to the desired length that you want. Then export it out as a video. Movie Studio will try to playback the files faster then it can handle on the timeline. But if you render it out, it will playback flawlessly. The bigger and more complex the gif file, the more Movie Studio won't like it. And it will take some time for the video to render as well.

But once the video is finally done, the animated gif will be a working video. It will just take quite awhile for movie studio to export the video.

Or there is a faster way that you can use as a cheat. Stretch the gif out to 10 seconds on the timeline. Render it as a 10 second video. Once your 10 second gif video is done, import it back into the timeline. Now copy and paste that 10 second video over and over until you get the desired length you want. Now render it. Movie Studio will render it much faster than trying to render that gif. Gif's are CPU intensive.

But trying to playback and stretching the file on the timeline will make Movie Studio stall and buffer a whole lot. So just stretch it out to 10 to 20 seconds and render it as a video. Then work with your video instead. Copy and Paste your video on the same timeline just like in the picture.

    Hope this helps! ^_^
