can a replica gun fire blanks?
I was watching the movie Snatch recently and one of the characters bought two replicas and some blanks and then he and his friend got into a car and after a while the friend asked if the guns were operational and the guy who bought the guns pulled the trigger and it went off. I want to know if this is true will a replica really fire blanks or is it just a movie myth.

No, a replica gun will not fire blanks. Replica guns lack a firing pin. In a working gun, the firing pin strikes the primer on the rear of the cartridge, igniting it and the propellant inside the case. Since a replica has no firing pin there is no way to fire any type of ammunition from a replica gun.
