Has YA given any thought to allowing an answerer to respond to comments ?
when an answer is selected as best the one who wrote the question can comment on the answer. It would seem fair to allow the person who answered to comment on the comments.

yes they have....and that's why you can't reply without it running the risk of being a chat violation

If you both have email enabled, you can. I always try to say thanks for the Best Answer ratings. Otherwise, you can't.
Yes, Yahoo has considered it and decided not to allow that. It is hard enough as it is now to keep this from turning into a chat room.
