BQ: Eros. I like names from mythology, and Eros is simple and solid while also being very striking and uncommon. It's unique, yet understated. The others would be very much guilty pleasures for me, but I think Eros could be usable, with the nickname Ross.

BQ - Definitely Erasmus. :) I named a character in one of my fanfics Erasmus. I love the meaning, "loved/to love". It also is the most realistic of all of them, too, meaning that I could picture the name on a person, and feel that it would be the easiest to say out of all of them. Honourable mention to Eros though -- that would be a cool, albeit GP type of name. :) I also might like Erebus too, though I've never heard of it. Is it pronounced "eh-REE-bus"? or so that it rhymes with Cerebrus? I'm not really keen on the others though, sorry.
Hope this helps! :)
