Do I get a promise ring for my partner AND myself at the same time ?
I want to get a promise ring for my partner. Currently we cant legally marry in Australia but I want him to know that when we are ready I will be there for him.
My question is When I get him this promise ring, do I get myself one as well or wait until he gives me one ?

Not sure if there's really is a specific way to do this but with my girlfriend I gave her the ring and waited for her to get me one. That is what I did but I'm sure it would work either way.

Let him get yours. Unless you're promising yourself something, leave the promising up to him. I gave my gf a promise ring 2yrs ago. She gave me one about 3 months ago.
