Would reforesting the Pennines in the UK alleviate much flooding ?
Large Trees need 50 to 100 gallons of water per day , and by respiration would tie up more water away from flooding , how much of the Pennine Mountain Chain from Sheffield , England into Scotland needs to be re-forested to make an appreciable difference to flooding ?

it would help alleviate flooding, it would also reduce erosion too

Probably but then there would be no building so their would be nowhere to live so no industry would grow in the area, its a very fine balance ??
