How to make sweet and sour chicken...?

How to make sweet and sour chicken without corn starch and pineapple/juice and I would like to use one tablespoon of soy sauce at most.

Update:

Is there a way to make it at home with the recipe online?

There are several variations to that dish. The Chinese chef had estimated the sweet and sour recipes to be about 1000 variations from a Chinese food documentary in China taking into account of all the provinces and Chinatowns etc. f The chicken and other meat like pork, spare ribs etc are usually battered and deep fried first. The simple sweet and sour sauce is 5 parts of ketchup and 1 part of rock sugar and 1/2 part of distilled vinegar (parts not cups) Like in Kingto style, the sauce is 5 parts ketchup, 1 part sugar, 1/3 part of Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 part of distilled vinegar. You really don't need corn starch solution, since the chicken already battered with flour, will thicken the sauce. Those pineapple/juice is just to enhance the flavor and how you want to expand the dish like adding red/green bell peppers, onion wedges, even potatoes are just each person's preference *

1 pound (455 grams) of chicken breasts

    1 green pepper

    4 slices of pineapple

1/4 cup (64 grams) of corn starch

1 onion (small or medium is fine)

    3 tablespoons of vinegar

    4 tablespoons of sugar

    4 tablespoons of ketchup

    1/2 teaspoons of sesame oil

    2 tablespoons of cornstarch

    5 tablespoons of water

1)Cube the chicken into 1 inch pieces and put the pieces in a bowl.

2)Coat the chicken pieces with the corn starch and mix well.

    3)Oil and heat the skillet at about 325 to 350 degrees F (163 to 177 degrees C).

4)Remove the chicken from the skillet and drain them on paper towels.

5)Cut the pepper in half, de-seed, and remove the white rib.

6)Cut the onion and pineapples into cubes as well.

7)Oil and heat the skillet again and add the pepper, onion, and pineapple cubes.

8)Add the vinegar, ketchup, sesame oil, and sugar to the skillet.

9)Re-add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook thoroughly for a few minutes.

10)Get a small bowl and mix the water and 2 tablespoons of corn starch with a spoon.

    11)Finished.

Start your rice in the rice cooker.

In a small sauce pan, dump 1 small jar of grape jelly, and 1 cup of ketchup. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently so the jelly melts and mixes with the ketchup. Keep over low heat, and stir occasionally. This is your sweet & sour sauce. If you want more "sour", add a bit of white or red vinegar.

Chop up your chicken into bite sized pieces. Beat a couple of eggs in a small bowl, and set out a pie pan or shallow bowl with some flour. Dip the chicken pieces into the egg, then dredge in the flour, then back into the egg, and back into the flour. Pan fry the coated chicken chunks in a small, hot frying pan with 1/4" of vegetable oil, turning frequently so the chunks brown evenly and cook all the way through. Set the chicken aside on a plate with a paper towel on it to drain.

In a second larger frying pan, add some sesame oil and whatever other vegetables you want, chopped into bite sized pieces if necessary. Let them saute for a few minutes until softened. Add the chicken chunks and the sauce. Stir to coat everything.

By now the rice should be done and you're ready to eat.
