would my mum have to come into the orthadontist with me?

I have my first appointment soon, and although my mums driving me there/back, I don't want her in the room with me during the appointment, especially when I'm actually getting the braces (I know I will as my dentist told me that I need to). is that okay, or does a parent have to be present?

My mom wasn't present. She wasn't present when I got them off either. She was in the waiting room both instances. I don't know how your orthodontist's office is set up, but I doubt she'll have to be there.

Nope, I had braces for over 3 yrs and my mom just sat in the waiting room. If ur ortho's office is like mine is, there'll be no room for her back there. :)

Ask her to wait for you in the reception room. They want your mom for financial reasons.

The average cost is $3,000 for braces.
