how far can the mail get backed up?
i have a payee it's a company in glendale arizona they said they sent my weekly grocery check on wenesday last week i live in the next city over and normaly it comes the next day, it's been a week now they have been urging me that it is still in the mail and to wait now it's time for my next check i set it up for me to pick it up but i called to see if they will actually have it they said they will mail it again because they are busy can the mail get that far backed up?

The company that mailed the check has NO control over it once they mail it, so calling them over and over will not get your check. You need to contact the post office to see if they have any information or ask the company to stop pay and reissue the check. Your check was probably lost in the mail, and they may not even print the checks in Glendale.

Not normally. However, sometimes the post office makes a mistake sorting, and the mail gets sent in the wrong direction (for example, they put it on a plane going to Australia), and it takes a few days (or weeks) for it to get to wherever, for someone to realize the mistake, and for it to get back to your area.

Theoretically, yes - but it sounds like they're just blowing you off. Ask them to wire transfer the money to you.
