cleaning lady scratched my stainless steal appliances?

My cleaning lady scratched my appliances and I am not sure if It is reasonable to ask for new ones or some type of money value. The microwave is bad and not repairable but the fridge I could live with I guess. They are only a couple years old higher end appliances and in excellent condition so it annoys me that I have a 50,000.00 kitchen with scratched appliances that is very noticeable. The company is asking for some kind of an estimate to repair them but I had a technician come out and he said they cannot be repaired so what should I ask the cleaning company to do? They work fine just look crappy now.

Just keep them polished with stainless steel polish. They will look okay.

Get a document from the technician stating that they can not be repaired. A cleaning company should have insurance to cover any damages made by their employees. Ask for a replacement since they are at fault for the damages to your appliances.

If you hired a professional cleaner

Then you have a case against the company she works for

She should know how to clean stainless steel

Give them the replacement cost if they cannot be repaired.

you're not entitled to a new one under the law, only to be made whole for your loss. negotiate a deal with the company. a few hundred dollars..then find a auto body shop guy or metal worker who could work that scratch out..
