How can I ensure that I am logged off the web on a Droid Mini?

I don't want to use data while not using data

Update:

I have it. I just want to know how to exit a web page and not be on the internet when I set my phone down. The web pages do not have that 'red ex' like any other browser I use.

    Turn off your data service.
