How do you replace the hard drive on a toshiba satellite u945 ultra book?

I shot my hard drive so I bought a replacement but I can figure out how to take the case off my computer! Please help me out with this!!

We'll idk if my drive is really shot but when I turn it on it says reboot using a proper device... Sorry for the confusion...

    support page for this model does not appear to provide this information. It does say you have a good old sata hard drive in there. There is a removable panel on the bottom of the thing, but you may only be able to access the memory modules under that. Worth a look if you haven't done it already.

    I suspect what they've done is purposely make the hard drive not directly accessible because they don't think you should be "allowed" to replace it anyway. You probably will have to actually take the case apart to get to it.

    With devices like this, that usually means undoing screws, including sometimes screws that are hidden under labels, and some of those labels may say things like "warranty voided if this label is removed or damaged" and so on.

    And it probably also means prying apart the case shell, which is probably a snap together deal. Often a task that requres a bit of care and delicacy

    If you SHOT the HDD what is the point of trying to replace. Don't believe there is enough of the computer remaining to worry about!
