laptops get hot when they do stuff. if its dusty you could probably just use compressed air. try google or youtube on where to blow the air for best de-dusting.

HP's and Sony's blow outs too much of heat (sorry nothing personal, thats what users said and i experienced). Get your laptop's internal things cleaned. Always use cooling pad. Never use it while it is on bed, pillow, blanket or any thing that totally closes the vent's of you laptop. Air must easily get in and get out. Before you practice this get it cleaned. if you are well knowledgeable about cleaning procedure go ahead and do it. all you need is a soft brush and a right screw driver and an organized mind to know what part goes where after you dismantle. thats it..

Use a Vacuum Cleaner and put it at the place where the air comes out. This works good on laptops.
There is lots of dust in there.
To clean a computer box, open it and use the vacuum cleaner there, but BE CARFUL, don't use full effect or touch anything in there.
Sorry for my English :P
