Question on how to build backdrop for display.?
I would like to find out how you think a person would go about building a solid flat backdrop for a display like this. The material obviously has to be flat, solid, and light enough to be hung.
Any suggestions you have for materials and how to build would be greatly appreciated. Also included links to a couple more examples below. Thanks!

You can build what is called, in theatre and film work, a flat, which is essentially a lightly built wall with braces behind to hold it up, and possibly weights such as sandbags to ballast it at the bottom.
You use 1x4 or 1x 3 and the thinnest plywood you can get. After the flat is built, you can cover it with fabric or paint it or whatever, and if you want to fasten things to it you fasten them to the 1x4 studs or use toggle bolts.
I'm sure there are videos on youtube on how to build a flat. The "Hollywood" type is best if it's to be freestanding.

to make this sort of display you might best hire a carpenter so you get even shelves and back drop spaces === trying to do this without good plans for wall displays is not easy == to get it uniform I would probably use some 4foot by eight foot plywood [[ good on one side and half an inch thick ]] cover the board with the starter primer and then paint your stripes or use some heavy canvas that you have sewn to fit and a double welt to hide the staples for attachment ;;; your display shelf can be applied with braces and screws or box in the shelf to make a divider like arrangement for your iscream tables ... it is only a matter of your decision to make good drawings and then follow through with uniform plans and if you want to do wood cuts [[ rent a table saw = be safe ]] then those wood boxes for display should be repetitive cuts and marked as where to go so that all looks uniform ............. go to work and I do hope that my simple ideas will give you keys to uniformity -- good looks -- and success in your business ... An independent business person can do well [[ I did ]] with quality products, good service, a descent and fair mark-up, and trustworthy employees ..... offer the finest birthday cakes, lunches, and ice cream ... catering is where you can beat the competition ..... picnics in the summer and indoors in the winters ........ There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/pDvtn
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

I would think it very possible, there seems to be fire work displays at most places in the world
