What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of welsh people?

Can't say as I know any Welsh folks.

Wales makes me think of Arthurian legend -

and legends don't get any better in my opinion.

Nothing came instantly (you did say what's the first thing). Instead I thought of the mountains and hills where I spent so much time in the 90s.

Welsh people ? Never mind the celebrities .... some hauntingly beautiful, other-worldly women ..... curmudgeonly farmers who would fit in instantly where I live now in Scotland .... an old woman shopkeeper who only spoke Welsh - no English .... the short time I lived in Wales .... a social security visitor who turned up early in the morning when the house was full of drunks sleeping it off .... the drugs squad and their voices that were police first, Welsh second ....

You brought back a while chapter of my life I had completely forgotten. Thanks (((Ali))).
