How can I really get rid of unwanted things in my computer?

I'm referring to dirty stuff, because I found out someone I had let use my computer went to unsavory sites, and I know that stuff goes down into the bottom of the computer. Is there a true real way to actually get rid of this junk? If so how? and how do I find these things? and what do they look like? because I know most all things deep down in the computer are numbers and some type of labels; but how can I find and recognize those bad things? Can they be completely out or at the least completely made unusable somehow? Thank You for your help.

Stop. Just.... stop. You say that you "know" things but don't have a clue what you're talking about. "...into the bottom of the computer"?? Come on...

Look - if you're concerned because you know or suspect someone used your computer to go to websites you don't agree with or are otherwise unsavory, all you need to do is clear your browser cache and run an antivirus scan. Don't concern yourself with trying to re-write system code that doesn't make sense.

Your going to have to describe exactly what "unwanted" things are. The stuff at the bottom of the computer? What is it your calling junk (one mans trash is another mans treasure). IF your talking about malware, spam, and viruses: First uninstall ANY AND ALL PROGRAMS YOU DON"T NEED OR WANT. Download Ccleaner here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard Install it, and check the box "Old Prefetch Data", leave the other checkmarks be, and run the cleaner. Install, update (then once a week) and scan with Malwarebytes free version (don't choose trial): http://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download... Update whichever antivirus you have and do a thorough scan, Defragment the computer. REALLY, learn to be more informative in posting questions- help us help you. First go to your browser's history settings and eitheir delete certain sites or all history.

I have Google chrome for that press ctrl and H

secondly to answer you question on is there a way to permanently delete things from the hard drive

The best way is to just get a hammer and smash it to pieces seriously as people will find a way to retrieve data even if you threw it in a lake, because its not really deleted its just overridden with other data several times
