do white women get hair breakage?

Black women's hair is notorious for its structural weakness relative to straight hair types. I was wondering, because i've never seen it before, if white women's hair ever breaks? i'm not talking about shedding, i'm talking about hair that breaks off from the ends, usually from damage and manipulation.

and if white women's hair does break, about how many strands per day are broken in your personal experience, if you're white? for black women it tends to be about 3-10 a day, depending on how the woman cares for her hair.

non-white/non-black women are also encouraged to answer!

thanks! :D

Update:

@abby, obviously everyone's hair gets splits. that doesn't even pertain to what i asked. the reason i'm curious is because, as i said above, i've never heard or seen white women's hair break, or hair of women of other races, which is pretty telling since i come from a mostly white background. white women's hair IS stronger than black hair, and generally much more thick and dense as well. if you research it you'll see that this is true. if it's stereotypical, it's a stereotype grounded well in fact.

Hair is hair and sometimes it breaks. It does not matter what color one's skin is. Hair breaks. Period.

Mine breaks all the time, but mine is from coloring it, using a straightening iron on it, and not giving my hair a good treatment of hair conditioner. Should use some olive oil on it and wrap it in plastic wrap for a half hour but never have time.

Yes it does, just like everyone's hair does.
