do you think im ready to try magic mushrooms?
okay, so ive smoked a lot of weed and handle it well (ive never vomited or anything bad) and ive also done a lot of laughing gas and some MDMA and handled them both pretty well
but ive been asked if i want to try magic mushrooms, i would really like to and i think i'll be okay, but ive heard some stuff about people trying them and having bad trips (i heard one story about a guy who thought he was an orange and he peeled himself to death), so im worried that i'll do them and then think about this causing me to have a bad trip... and yeah i really dont want that to happen for my first time
thanks guys! also, dont tell me not to do it because its bad and stuff - im just asking people if they think im in the might mindset for it

Whether to do them or not is up to your and how you're feeling. Never feel pressured into doing them. If you buy them and decide it's not the time, no worries. Once dried, mushrooms can keep potent for a while. Just seal them in an airtight jar and put it in a cool, dark place.
I personally don't recommend anyone younger than 21-23 taking drugs or drinking alcohol, period. I'm not against drug use (very opposite in fact), but your brain isn't finished developing. I don't know, just like most people don't know what the consequences of using mind altering chemicals will do to a young brain. I think 18 is the absolute lowest I would be willing to negotiate someone trying this particular drug because while it is relatively safe, bad trips are possible and to be honest most 17 and younger kids can't handle the psychological part of a bad trip.
Bad trips are not going to make you commit suicide unless you had suicidal feelings before tripping. It's not going to make you loose yourself so much you peel yourself to death thinking you're an orange (with a normal 1.75g-3.5g dose, if you're eating a quarter I can't speak to that). It can make you feel more self confident and interested in exploring (heard of a few too many people fall to their death climbing mountains while tripping). The best way to describe a bad trip is time slows down and you beg it to speed up. You're aware of how bad you feel and it's not a "I want to kill myself" or "I'm in pain" it's more mental. You can watch the clock tick away and it just feels like it's been years when it's only be an hour. It's this feeling of absolutely loneliness and what I would imagine to be the worst depression possible. If you're a stable person the bad trip is usually not the end of the world and with experience you can easily turn the trip back to good. If you're not stable or if you're already dealing from depression it can really mess with your head and can cause long term negative consequences (I had a friend who had a bad trip his first time and it never seemed like he recovered fully, he definitely wasn't interested in going near mushrooms again.)
In a stable and fully developed adult I think mushrooms are something most people would enjoy and should experience. In a teenager that is already dealing with the stress of school, family, life, whatever mixed with the hormonal imbalance most have and the general lack of experience dealing with emotions at an adult level I would not recommend them. I've known plenty who did mushrooms in high school and it's really a split, they either loved them and most continued with their drug experimenting OR it was bad and it really effected them, maybe even scared them a little.
Laughing gas and MDMA are nothing similar to this. Pot is the closest, but even then it doesn't compare. MDMA forces serotonin to flood your brain and you have no choice but to be happy. Mushrooms can go either way, when they are good they are great. When they are bad you better have a good grasp with reality because you're going to spend the next few hours very unhappy, nervous, sick, and worried.

Are you ready? That's up for you to decide. Learn about the effects ratio to dosage? Listen to some Terrance Mckenna?

Weed and drugs damage your brain. If you want more brain damage and want to end up strapped to a bed in a psych ward, go ahead and do it. IDIOTS!!
