Hdmi isng playing sound good?
I have a samsung tv and a gateway, my hdmi isn't transmitting the sound, it plays the background music well just does not play the voice but so low.
just won the tv :D
but the hdmi works on a laptop, & its a vizio hdmi

Snoop has no idea what he is talking about. There is no such thing as HDMI version 3.0. The most common versions are 1.3 and 1.4. Usually, the problem does not lie in the HDMI cable.
There are a few reason why you are experiencing this problem:
1. Your TV speaker is defective or is low quality.
2. The quality of the source (media file, etc.) is low quality.
As with any cables, it is possible that the HDMI cable is defective. However, I would investigate the first two explanations first. If the problem remains, I would advise buying a high speed HDMI cable in the $8-$12 range.

HDMI doesn't have any dedicated audio pins, the digital audio data is interleaved into the video, in the vertical blanking interval to be specific.
What this means is that if the video is working it isn't the cable that is at fault.
There are currently only 4 HDMI cable types. Standard speed without and with Ethernet and high speed without and with Ethernet.

= HDMI is likely not the problem. It's the speakers and/or the audio settings.

Your laptop can work on a low powered HDMI cable, but your TV won't. Buy a HDMI cable with version 2.0 or 3.0....
This is work for sure..
