Where can i find people to teach me Electronic music (EDM)?

I want to learn to produce edm music, but i need someone to teach me. I dont think theres any clubs or anything like that where i live (southwest florida). So where can i learn besides from myself?

Update:

Update 2:

I guess your right, but im new to this, so id be learning from no previous knowledge or experience. I don't know what a DAW is, im guessing its the digital software to make music. I also forgot to mention I want to create the music from actual hardware and recorded instruments.. like a synthesizer, not just from software.

I can learn it, i just don't know where to start or the "basics" of it.

You don't NEED anyone to teach you, I taught myself. This may sound harsh but if you want to sound unique and have your own sound I suggest not learning from someone else. Most DAW's are pretty self explanatory and if it's the actual music theory/creation that you are worried about, I don't suggest learning that through EDM production. Learn piano or a woodwind first, it will be immensely helpful in the long run.

Gotta self teach yourself. Most producers out there have spent years perfecting the craft and are selfish to share. I mean if you spent years on trying to make it are you really just gonna spill out your secrets for someone else. Kind of not fair. Sometimes you get lucky and find someone nice but usually doesn't happen.

I'm afraid your both right. you can create good tunes with simple install-and-go software such as dance ejay. but if you want good, original tracks, it would be hard, what with you having to create your own software and sounds (most install programs use wide librarys of pre-recorded sound which can be slightly altered) still, I do think that the whole genre of electronic/techno is slightly easy to crack. With dance ejay, I can still knock out decent sounding tracks in under 10 minutes.
